Make Your Own Dog Treats

Your dog is your friend and your life-long companion. Don’t you think your dog deserves the best that you can give him? Of course he does! So why are you still feeding him those rock-hard unappealing dog biscuits? Doesn’t he deserve better than that?

Have you ever thought of making your own special treats for your dog? Not only will they be healthier for your pet, but he will love the fresh taste of them as well—and love you for pampering him too!

It is not hard to make dog treats. If you can throw a few ingredients together, you basically have the cooking skills you need. And if you make a big batch, you can put them in sealed containers or in your freezer to have them ready when you want them.

These special treats are a great tool when you are trying to train your dog as well. He will be more than anxious to do what you want him too when the reward is a tasty home-make treat.

Home-made treats can be very healthy for your dog as well. You can make the treats from ‘healthy’ foods to ensure that your pet gets the vitamins he needs. You can also use these treats to supplement what you feel he may be lacking in his diet. And, wouldn’t these healthy treats be better for your dog than table scraps that will tend to make him gain weight?

Here are a couple of recipes to get you started making healthy dog treats. If you want more recipes, check out the e-book "Pamper Your Dog" which has more than 100 recipes for you to make for your dog—everything from puppy food, to main meals and to delicious dog-friendly treats.
